The mission of Medavie is to improve the well-being of Canadians. Reporting to the Medavie Health Foundation’s Executive Director, the Corporate Citizenship Coordinator will primarily support the execution of  Medavie’s community giving strategy through the Medavie Health Foundation and brand sponsorships.This role will also play a key role in supporting Medavie’s broader corporate citizenship activities.


The Corporate Citizenship Coordinator is accountable for effective and efficient administration and other support of community giving and corporate citizenship activities. This role helps drive community impact of Medavie by supporting the day-to-day operations and giving activities within the Brand & Reputation team of Medavie.


Key Responsibilities

  • Tracks and supports responses to inquiries and requests for funding from community organizations.
  • Works with colleagues and internal partners to ensure funds are paid to grant recipients and sponsorship partners in a timely manner. Processes payment requisitions, including grant and sponsorship requests as well as operating expenses. Maintains system tracking key data for budgeting and reporting purposes.
  • Works closely with the Brand & Communications team, managing a community giving content calendar and collecting and curating community giving and corporate citizenship-related content for internal and external communications channels, including annual CSR report.
  • Supports Medavie’s community impact reporting through tracking, follow-up and aggregating of community partner reporting and other corporate citizenship activities.
  • Coordinates the Medavie Scholarship program, including development and implementation of application process, vetting applications for eligibility and supporting selection process.
  • Carries out assigned issue research in support of funding strategy and criteria as well as corporate citizenship elements.
  • Supports event planning and execution for key initiatives such as sponsorship and thought leadership events as well as funding announcements.
  • Assists with requests for marketing resources from internal teams and offices, supporting deployment of logo and brand recognition in relation to donations, community level sponsorships and other corporate citizenship needs.
  • Create, edit and update presentation materials and other communications assets,
  • Draft funding letters and payment notifications and others forms of correspondence to community organizations
  • Manages and updates online tracking system for community giving
  • Monitors and tracks internal/external community giving inquiries and requests for funding, supporting criteria assessment and drafting responses.
  • Provides direct support to the Executive Director, Medavie Health Foundation, including coordination of internal and external meetings.
  • Perform other related activities as assigned in support of Foundation and/or corporate brand & reputation objectives.


  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field OR secondary school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of professional office experience
  •  Two years of progressive formal work experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to be gracious and tactful across all communications; Strong organizational and time management skills coupled with ability to prioritize workflow and manage competing demands; Highly motivated and detail oriented with ability to work independently and with multiple regions and stakeholders; Provide superior customer service; be proactive in anticipating needs and provide accurate, timely resolution of issues when they arise; Strong team player with a highly collaborative attitude; Some basic project management skills; Organizational awareness; Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion within all functions of work.

  • Eager to learn and build your skills and experience in the field of corporate citizenship / corporate social responsibility / sustainability
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships in a complex, matrix environment.
  • Affinity for data collection and reporting
  • Proficent with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Webpage maintenance and social media experience an asset
  • Fluency in French, written and spoken,  would be considered an asset
