Working in a fast-paced team-oriented work environment, the Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible to assist with policy analysis, research and audit.  In addition the incumbent will gain experience and exposure with Human Resources compliance reviews and special projects.  

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Research and develop Human Resources policies for Medavie operating companies to comply with legislation to achieve accreditation standards.
  • Review, audit and update existing policies to reflect changes in legislation or business practices.
  • Participate in and assist with Human Resources compliance reviews.
  • Participate in HR related projects as required.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

Education: Post-secondary education with a degree, diploma or certificate in Human Resources.
 

Work Experience: 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience. 
 

Other Qualifications:    

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while maintaining high level of accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail.
  • Team player with strong customer service, excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, anticipate needs and solve problems independently.
  • Proven track record on delivering results, and having the ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment with minimum supervision.

 

Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

 

Language Skills: Bilingualism in English and French would be considered  an asset.

Knowledge: Broad understanding of the HR function with an interest in policy writing and knowledge and understanding of employment and labour legislation.


Communication Skills: Proven written and verbal communication.


Execution and Organizational Skills: Proven ability to multi task and be flexible in order to adapt and thrive in a fast paced environment.


Team Work: Have talent for working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive and creative approach in dealing with complex situations.
