The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Director of Brokerage Sales, the Sales Analyst, Brokerage Sales will support the brokerage sales representatives in their business development efforts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze requests for quotes and make decisions based on the level of risk: refuse, approve or transfer the decision to pricing team (based on pre-established criterion)
  • Complete Risk Selection grids in Excel and correspond directly with broker to obtain any missing information
  • Prepare final sales proposals
  • Track quotes and maintain updates in an online Quotation Activity Log
  • Assist the Sales Analyst team in managing a high volume, tight deadline, quote email inbox in Outlook
  • Assist in generation of Excel reports based reflecting quote volumes for the Manager, Client Service
  • Support the Account Executive when it is time to process renewals (analyze the renewal data, prepare various manual reports, calculate different benefit options, prepare renewal package)
  • Represent the Brokerage Sales team during inter-departmental meetings in order to improve business processes and ensure that Service Level Agreement targets are met
  • Back up team members as required



  • Education: University or college diploma in business administration, finance or accounting. 
  • Work Experience: One to three years of relevant experience.
  • Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of Excel and strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products and advanced ability with databases. 
  • Language Skills: Bilingualism is considered an asset.

  • Communication Skills: Possess superior communication skills (oral, written, listening) and delivers information clearly and confidently both with internal and external partners (i.e. brokers).
  • Execution and Organizational Skills: Prioritizes and effectively copes with change.  Ability to organize work and information in a well thought out manner to deliver on specific tasks and reporting deadlines.   
  • Team Work Skills: Demonstrates an understanding of how the job contributes to the overall work unit and takes the initiative to help with problem situations. Easily gains trust and support of peers, encourages collaboration and is composed. Seeks and is receptive to feedback and enjoys working with people both as part of a team and one-on-one.
