Position Summary


The IT Analyst, Identity and Access Application Support is responsible for leading the analysis, design, and testing of critical security systems and to support the implementation of systems changes and troubleshooting of issues.  They work with teams from across the organization (Business and IT) to create quality identity and access controls that are consistent, secure, auditable, and consistent with the corporate vision.

 

Key Responsibilities


•    Work with colleagues in IT and Business to design solutions managed by our Identity and Access Applications;
•    Document the access control requirements and design for the development team to use to build solutions;
•    Maintain the inventory of roles mapping details;
•    Plan for and execute system testing of any changes to the applications;
•    Support Identity and Access Applications deployments to various environments;
•    Provide day-to-day production support and troubleshooting related to Identity and Access Applications;
•    Champion roles-based access control;
•    Champion best practices for secure and auditable systems;
•    Work with the team, management, and business counterparts to achieve corporate and departmental goals; 
•    Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external colleagues; 
•    Analyze, recommend, and implement process improvements to meet business needs;
•    Prepare and present status of work items or projects as required.

 

Required Qualifications 


•    Solid knowledge of security concepts related to authentication, authorization, roles-based access control.
•    Experience designing, maintaining, and managing access control systems pertaining to application and network access.
•    A solid understanding of how system access works and how to provision system access while respecting the least privilege principle.
•    Knowledge of how to provision user access to networks, applications, file shares, and/or databases.
•    Strong customer service experience and the ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional even while under pressure and tight time constraints.
•    A strong commitment to the enforcement of established rules, controls, and policies.

 

Education: Diploma or University degree in business administration or Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and applicable experience

 

Work Status: Due to security clearance requirement, you must have been in Canada for at least 5 years and you must be a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Canada

 

Work Experience: Ideally 7+ Years of experience including experience in system analysis, application analysis, and test planning/execution.

 

Other Qualifications:    

•    A working knowledge of Medavie Blue Cross legacy systems would be an asset;
•    Experience in administering or implementing access controls to secured systems;
•    Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills;
•    Self-directed with a high level of personal accountability and responsibility;
•    Highly organized;
•    Superior interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written);
•    Ability and desire to think outside the box and to seek innovative ways to improve processes and find efficiencies.
•    Ability to interact and collaborate with people from across the entire organization.
•    Strong project coordination skills would be an asset.
•    Knowledge of the Health and/or Insurance Industries would be an asset;    

 

Experience with the following is considered an asset:
•    IBM security software products
•    Other Identity and Access Management Systems
•    Active Directory
•    LDAP
•    SQL and scripting

 

Language Skills: Competence in English is essential; Bilingualism (English and French) considered an asset
