As Policy Issue Coordinator, your role is to provide administrative assistance, manage documents, maintain data records and ensure consistent involvement in all initiatives for the contract writing team. Working closely with the Contract Writers, Specialists and Leaders, you will play a major role in the success of the Contract Unit. The position involves a variety of tasks such as assigning work, actively participating in projects, developing new tools including SharePoint sites and project trackers, creating PDF versions of documents, uploading documents to websites and databases, processing group cancellations, and tracking data such as the status of signed documents to ensure the information is accurate and up to date.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assign day-to-day tasks to Contract Writers.
  • Support the Team Leader, Contract Specialists and Contract Writers to help resolve service issues and inquiries from the team.
  • Provide support to Contract Writers by completing administrative or clerical tasks such as creating PDF documents and uploading documents in a timely manner.
  • Organize the Contract Unit’s electronic folders.


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma and at least 3 years administrative experience in a business environment, or a combination of relevant education and work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Excellent organizational skills, initiative and priority management.
  • Independent and resourceful, with the ability to anticipate client needs and address them proactively.
  • Demonstrated talent for solving complex problems using knowledge of the organization, experience and creativity.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak and write clearly and confidentially with different audiences.
  • Experience with customizing information and messages to suit the nature of the material, the audience and the situation.
  • Ability to work under pressure to establish and follow a list of priorities.
  • Bilingualism (English and French)
