The Opportunity:

The Sales Support Representative, part of the Individual Sales team, is responsible for providing assistance to the Individual Direct Sales Representatives and providing the highest level of customer service to new and existing clients. The Sales Support Representative has contact with clients and internal departments, in building and maintaining strong relationships with these stakeholders. The Sales Support Representative is responsible for analyzing, researching and taking the initiative for resolving and handling inquiries in a proactive and client focused manner.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day to day administrative activities of the sales representatives, including follow-up processes as necessary to complete sales process
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers by handling their inquiries in an efficient manner
  • Create and maintain reports to measure sales activities; distribute sales leads as necessary and assign follow up tasks; maintenance of sales records
  • Perform outbound follow-up calls to prospects to maximize sales potential
  • Provide back up support to others on the team as necessary
  • Managing group email, voicemail and fax processes within the sales team
  • Process all departmental incoming mail and fulfill outgoing mail requests
  • Working with external partners to gather required information in support of various lines of business
  • Represent the Direct Sales team in projects, including user acceptance testing (UAT)

 

Qualifications:

  • Bilingualism (French/ English) is required
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in business and/ or office administration
  • Completion of LLQP and/ or previous experience working in the insurance industry is considered an asset
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Strong organizational skills and able to prioritize effectively
  • Able to multi-task effectively; demonstrate agility in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective time management skills
