Role Summary:
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Provider File Analyst will be responsible for maintaining a database of providers and ensuring approved providers meet established criteria. In addition, this position will be required to deal directly with providers and provider associations by handling telephone inquiries, trouble shooting issues, preparing written correspondence, managing reports, and preparing documentation. 
 
As a Provider File Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:
•    Responding to telephone inquiries about provider related issues and concerns, including follow up action as required;
•    Registering all new providers through application of established provider criteria;
•    Maintaining provider files;
•    Organizing, maintaining and ensuring all provider association files are current;
•    Maintaining and updating provider file documentation;
•    Managing various reports including data analysis, information compilation and preparing appropriate correspondence; and
•    Preparing correspondence to providers about approved provider status and the distribution appropriate provider kits.

 

As the ideal candidate, you possess the following qualifications:
Education: Post-secondary education.

Work Experience: Minimum one year related work experience.

Other Qualifications: Knowledge of the health care industry; previous work experience in the insurance industry or health care industry will be considered an asset.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. 

Language Skills: Bilingualism is a requirement  for this position.
