The Opportunity


Imagine a job where you work with a team of IT professionals to roll our new technology that helps provide health and wellness solutions to Canadians across the country. We’re recruiting for a Release Coordinator to join the organization; reporting to the Manager of Quality Assurance, you’ll plan and coordinate phases/activities involved in the release of a Software or Product.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Facilitates/Assists in the release planning meetings with key stakeholders to identify proper sequencing of release packages.
  • Defines and Documents the release scope, schedule, deliverables, contact lists, pre and post deployment activities and roll back plans. Also reviews the release plan with the Key stakeholders
  • Maintains Release Calendar that indicates the schedule for specific Software/System
  • Attends Change and Release Board meetings and deployment planning meeting to collect data and information pertaining to the release.
  • Provide communication related to release during and after the deployment
  • Facilitates emergency releases from production incident identification to incident closure after release
  • Champion and ensure compliance to the Medavie Release Process
  • Maintains documentation of all processes and identifies opportunities to make improvements to the release process




Education: University or college diploma in Computer Science 0r similar program preferred


Work Experience: Relevant IT experience in service operations, and business readiness. Demonstrated ability in project planning, negotiation and working within a team environment. Ability to work flexible schedule is necessary since most releases occurs outside of regular business hours


Language Skills: Bilingualism is considered an asset
