The Opportunity

As the Business Development Analyst, you will play a lead role in support of strategic business growth initiatives.  Working in a high functioning team environment, you will be responsible for developing reporting and presenting insights to enhance sales information, processes and results.  You will be able to leverage leading reporting tools, including Power BI and Salesforce.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the sales management team in Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic with the execution of our business development plans, including providing strategic insights and tracking progress.
  • With our Salesforce customer relationship management system, play an important role of Salesforce Administrator which includes data management, end user support, system tester, dashboard reporting architect and solution optimization. 
  • Define, develop, and deliver business development reporting requirements, including tracking and analyzing net production, results by sales channel, pipeline monitoring, advisor business reports, bonus program results and Salesforce activity management.
  • Lead contact for reporting requests from external advisors and consulting organizations.
  • Support organizational reporting activities, including progress towards corporate plan objectives.
  • Track, analyze and report on market intelligence supporting our knowledge of the marketplace and business development initiatives.
  • Participate on project teams supporting business plan execution and delivery of reporting analytics.



  • University or college diploma in business administration, actuarial, finance or accounting.  
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products.  Experience with Power BI and/or Salesforce is considered an asset.
  • English is required, French is considered an asset.
  • Superior communication skills (oral, written, listening) with the ability to deliver information clearly and confidently both with internal and external partners.
  • High attention to detail, using logic and good judgment in decision making.
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively cope with change.
