If you enjoy building solid business relationships and working in a fast-paced team environment, this opportunity is for you. As a member of the Account Associate team, you will work closely with an Account Executive, helping to achieve set sales quotas and other strategic objectives. You will represents Medavie Blue Cross’ portfolio of Individual products/ services and uphold company standards while ensuring the needs and expectations of the teams’ accounts are met. To excel in this role, you will have fantastic administration skills, a strong drive to provide the highest level of service, and experience managing business relationships.
 
What you’ll do:

  • Work collaboratively with the Account Executives to meet sales targets and strategic objectives for assigned accounts while promoting Medavie Blue Cross as the company of choice for health and life products.
  • Monitor and follow up on sales pipeline to ensure missing information is received in a timely manner and that applications move through the sales funnel.
  • Handle escalations, complex service requests and inquiries, ensuring proper communication and a timely resolution.
  • Complete reports for Account Executives and Brokers. 
  • Foster and maintain ongoing relationships through daily support of Brokers, recognizing issues that require Account Executive intervention.
  • Review processes, develop tools, plan events, and liaise with Marketing to curate materials.
  • Represent the Broker community internally and work closely with key internal stakeholders such as marketing, sales support and administrative teams to ensure superior service and product offering to your assigned accounts.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Bilingualism (ENG/FR) is required. 
  • Provincial Life, Accident & Sickness license required upon hire, or nearing completion.
  • Skilled in developing and nurturing client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Outstanding active listening skills.
  • A strong work ethic and high levels of initiative.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, coupled with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage competing demands.
  • Strong computer skills-  Microsoft Office, email, and internet applications.
  • GBA or CEBS designation and/or other industry courses would be considered an asset.
